Never had writers' cramp.

Being 13, and having my old Newgrounds account in the 90s, before stepping away from the site for a number of years, my goal was to be a digital cartoon artist. It was when I was influenced by media like 'all ur base' and Salad Fingers, arfenhouse, Retarded Animal Babies, all things that were copied a LOT by internet fans. Newgrounds struck me almost right away when I discovered it's free-thinking digital animations, is "I want to do this as a career one day".

For 20 years I had jobs that let me in on worlds of business to some degree, just not the corrupt aspects of it, rather things like legitimate IT and ISP businesses, and sales, and just recently I am actually learning digital drawing and animation.

For the 20 years my goal was to make a book after trying to gather evidence and blow the whistle on peoples lives let to hurting another person for-profit, and in addition having that threat pointed at them, to keep that part of their life remaining and a constant threat to themselves. I told stories of world crime in a book, to make it evident to someone that it could be known about openly without a discussion around someone violent. It was really to learn non-violently and for anyone. I learned I was a naturally giving and compassionate person with a pen and keyboard, and after reading a few different books of important literary and cultural significance: it was actually old newsprint and video recordings of honest live uncut journalism. I tried writing something that was like facts as in journalism, and gave it to a librarian to give feedback.

I learned then and in Broadcasting school each story in relatable format should have a beginning middle and end to get attention to the reader and create a natural path of understanding.

The librarian wouldn't be bothered to read my work and wouldn't give her opinion about my test-journalism when I was a 6 year old exploring the big library downtown.

It was obvious to me I liked writing and spent time reading old newspapers and getting a better vocabulary by reading a dictionary as a child, this was advice the librarian gave me for what she called "a writers way of self improvement". I wasn't surprised she talked like that since she gave me the impression she had given the excuse "I need this job", to at least one person in her life. This is why I wanted to be a writer and loved talking and writing the 'words about the words' as I called it in my time at the library as a child. The love of a newspaper drove me back to the library a lot, I was addicted to feeling the importance of the weight of the information. I would get into conversations with people about the news, and tell people I wanted to learn how to write newspapers in conversations with strangers I'd usually approach to learn the news from.

Before I really had the writing skills, I overcame a love of computers and wanting to learn about how a computer worked to be a better journalist. I figured out that if I could get a computer working, I could always have a way of freely writing and publishing with a computer where I could tell people ideas. I was a gifted young person who had access to a computer in the 80s and 90s and it took me years to learn; modern computing and technology, and I did learn how to use open source software.

All said and done, the book is in a rough copy still and needs a polish and update to help the reader more with an understanding of the content. I have found myself in front of the Newgrounds page, slowing down on typing and becoming more absorbed by the cartoons on the site, and being inspired. It's changed a lot, but only gone around a corner and away from the place it started, Newgrounds has reached right into all parts of animation, voice acting, and music culture, which is the reason why I was excited to see it happening already in the mid-90s when I was 13.
